Sheet & Coated Fabrics Group

The Sheet and Coated Fabrics Group represents the interests of manufacturers of plastic sheet and coated fabric products, ranging from resilient flooring and furniture to automotive components. Members of this group are involved in the Vinyl’s Group as many of the products manufactured are PVC coated.

Benefits of Membership

The Group does not meet regularly as a committee but some members are sponsors of the Vinyl’s Group and are also involved in a variety of activities within the BPF’s Group Structure.

The Group are actively involved in:

Promoting the plastic sheet and coated fabrics sector
Keeping abreast of the numerous legislative developments and standards affecting plastics in all relevant applications
Responding to and having an awareness of the environmental issues of plastics with specific reference to PVC issues
Regular bulletins, keep Members informed of key issues and BPF news

Members have the opportunity to interact with major end-users discussing the changing approaches to plastics in the supply chain at business workshops, through the Vinyl’s Group and seminars arranged by both the BPF and our Partners.

The BPF works to ensure that members are in the best possible position to benefit from Government schemes.

Setting the Standards. Through the BPF, members can access and influence British Standard Committees, with links to bodies such as the Building Research Establishment (BRE), who are widely regarded as the guru’s on sustainable construction within the UK
